Hans Peter Winn was born in Venice, Florida in 1983 and is the youngest of his siblings carrying on the family tradition. Originating in Germany, the Winn family go back eight generations in the circus world and were among the first to perform the famed Incline Motorcycle Highwire act. The Winn's were also well known for death defying stunts including but not limited to; The Wheel of Destiny, Incline Sky Walks, Sky Scraping Sway Poles, The Incline Motorcycle on a highwire and much more!
Hans began performing as a professional daredevil acrobat at the age of thirteen, riding a motorcycle inside a steel sphere known as the Globe of Death. Although he started his career as a daredevil a little later than his elder siblings, he caught up quickly and was the featured performer in his family's show ever since. By age seventeen, Hans was performing in all the aerial stunt acts across North America, including Canada, Hawaii and Australia. After completing his education, Hans worked with his father designing and building circus apparatus' as well as learning the family business. He built his very first wheel at age twenty eight in collaboration with Sarasota Welding Co., and modified two sets of Sway Poles. He has re-designed and customized most of the rigging himself, and streamlined the loading process for the quicklest and most efficient load in and outs.
Hans Peter now works alongside his wife Natashia, a third generation aerialist and performer from Toronto, Ontario Canada. The two met as children on Garden Brothers Circus - a circus owned and operated by Natashia's family in Canada. The Winn family were hired as performers and were also close friends of the Garden family. Hans and Natashia married in 2014 in Venice and now have two daughters together, namely Jayla and Aurora.
When home and not performing, Hans keeps busy as a local stagehand rigger - with over ten years experiance in carpentry, electrical, aerial platform and has also done work with Circus Sarasota in the tent department as well as Garden Brothers Circus and Cavalia as head chief rigger.
As much as Hans and his family enjoy the traveling and performing, home in Florida is where they like to vacation!
